The Deeside Gentleman’s Club

Residents at The Gentlemans Club

At Deeside Care Home, we actively encourage our residents to spend quality time with one another and to form new relationships and bonds throughout our care home. This not only has the ability for our residents to have a fantastic social life but has many benefits to their mental wellbeing too.

Our devoted activities coordinator has recently put together a “Gentleman's Club”. This club is a great opportunity for the gents at Deeside to meet with each other in the bar area every fortnight for a tipple and various games. When the weather allows, the club also takes place out of the home and the gents regularly enjoy day trips out on the minibus to the beach, pub, and garden centre.

Our dedicated team at Deeside Care Home have seen the first-hand benefits of our residents spending time together through various activities. Our extensive activities programme has the ability to improve our resident's health and wellbeing, allowing them to be in control of their own routines, encouraging our residents to maintain their confidence and independence and combat isolation and loneliness.

We understand how the transition of moving into a care home can be daunting and can have a significant effect on a resident's mental health, which is why it is so important for our residents to form new relationships with one another, creating a comforting environment.

Our activities programmes' purpose is for our residents to achieve the most out of each and every day and for no two days to be the same. Whether our residents are making use of the many facilities we have to offer such as our arts & crafts sessions, cinema room, or taking a stroll in our private gardens, our residents will never be short of things to do.
