This month, we started support of the ‘Make A Wish’ charity.
We’ve planned exciting activities to raise funds. These fun activities get staff, residents, friends and family raising money for a good cause.
Our community will get together for events such as an upcoming ‘Summer Fayre,’ and a sponsored walk down the old Deeside railway path.
What is ‘Make A Wish?’
Everything about the Make-A-Wish experience is about the child and the impact a wish will have on their life. ‘Make A Wish’ charity organisation is unique in putting the child at the heart of their own experience knowing that involving a child’s family in the unique way that the charity does, delivers a big impact.

Why did we choose ‘Make A Wish?’
We proudly support the ‘Make a Wish’ charity because a ‘Wish’ is more than a moment in a child’s life – it fills the days, months and years afterwards. Alongside joy, hope and happy memories sits a new confidence, resilience and self-worth also ‘A wish’ improves the lives of siblings and parents as well.
Why did Deeside want to raise money for charity?
Raising money for charity is a worthwhile cause for our staff and residents. Together we socialise and work as a team towards a common goal. We’re always open to hearing ideas from our residents and ensure that our activities are easy for them to participate in.
Our sponsored walk will be a great way to get residents moving and see different sights. We always like to introduce variety to people who stay with us.
We think our ‘Summer Fayre’ will be a great day for all. Plus, when friends and family visit, memories are a little more special with our fundraising activities that everyone can join in with.
