Stay Connected with your Loved One’s

Staying Connected With Loved Ones on iPad

At Deeside Care Home, we make sure to keep our residents connected with their loved ones at all times. Despite the difficulties that COVID-19 has brought us, our devoted team members have worked hard to keep our residents connected with their loved ones through Facetime, Whatsapp, and Zoom on our iPads. Setting up face-to-face online meetings for our residents is never too difficult with the great internet connection and fantastic technology we provide.

We recognise the importance of human interaction for our residents and how essential it is to maintain their relationships with their loved ones, which is why we offer a wide range of digital devices for our residents to video call their friends and family at any given time, especially those who live far away.

Each of our bedroom suites is fully equipped with a television, music system, telephone point, and internet access. We feel passionate about our residents having 24/7 access to their loved ones and maintaining their independence by making full use of the electronics available.

As well as providing our residents with the electronics needed to contact their loved ones, we also go above and beyond to ensure that when allowed, our resident's families and friends are involved within our activities programme. Whether it is escorting residents on a trip out in Aberdeen, helping us with events at the home, or even joining us to enjoy the entertainment that visits us, our residents loved ones are always welcome.

At Deeside Care Home we understand that it may be challenging for our residents to move into a residential care home, especially with the impact of COVID-19. That's why we encourage our residents and their loved ones to keep in touch with one another and to ensure continuity from their previous lifestyles. Even when visits are back to normal, families will still be able to utilise these ways of connecting as a way of keeping in contact.

If you would like to find out more information regarding how we keep our residents connected with their loved ones then please do not hesitate to contact us, and a friendly member of our team will be more than happy to help.
