Meet Our Well-being Manager
We are pleased to introduce our new Wellbeing Manager, Frances.
Frances Loughrey joins us as our new part-time Wellbeing Manager. Over the past 10 years, she has worked in a variety of organisations here and in Australia delivering a range of wellbeing workshops and helping embed attitudinal change through evidence-based positive psychology and coaching programmes. She will be working at Deeside to help strengthen our wellbeing offering for residents and staff in a way that will use these approaches in the delivery of personalised care for everyone. This will include our activities programme, our involvement of staff and relatives in the life of the home and an exploration of how we can support one another now we are able to return to 'normal service'.
One of our greatest assets and resource is our staff and we know that by supporting them we enable them to deliver the highest level of care in a holistic way for residents. Frances will be focusing a lot of her two days a week on them this autumn, spending time with them, understanding the pressures they face and how they are managing their way out of the impact of the last few years. We recognise this as a foundational step in moving forward with our plans for our residents.
She has already met with all our residents and looks forward to speaking with our wider community of relatives in due course. There will be opportunities to meet and discuss our ideas as well as an opportunity to share thoughts through surveys. In the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to send them to Frances at info@deesidecare.com who will be happy to assist you.
