Deeside Care Home Shines Bright at Summer Fayre
The spirit of summer was alive and well at Deeside Care Home as the community came together for an unforgettable Summer Fayre on Saturday, August 17th. While the weather might not have been ideal, it didn't dampen the spirits of residents, staff, and visitors who enjoyed a day filled with laughter, delicious food, and heartwarming connections.
A Community Celebration
The fayre, a much-anticipated annual event, welcomed friends and families of residents as well as members of the local community. Everyone rallied together, transforming the care home into a bustling marketplace of exciting stalls. Attendees indulged in mouthwatering barbecue treats, tried their luck at the Raffle and Bottle Tombola, and admired the beautiful creations on display at the Knitting Stall. Tropic Beauty added a touch of pampering to the day, while other vendors offered a variety of unique goods.
The younger generation wasn't forgotten either, with plenty of activities to keep them entertained. Throughout the day, the talented "DJ Stuart" kept the energy high with his infectious music, setting the perfect backdrop for the festivities.
More Than Just Fun and Games
The Summer Fayre served a dual purpose: bringing the community together and raising funds for resident activities, including enriching outings within the local area. The event was a resounding success, with the incredible support of Deeside relatives, friends, and stallholders resulting in an impressive amount raised for the residents' fund.
